Dry Cook-In Sauce
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1 onion
- 500g mince
- 50g raisins
- 250 ml milk
- 2 Tbsp chutney
- 3 eggs
Oven Bake: 50 mins
- Heat oil in a large frying pan & fry onion until softened. Add mince & stir until browned.
- Mix raisins & contents of packet with 50 ml water & 200 ml milk. Mix into mince & add chutney. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Transfer to a greased ovenproof casserole dish.
- Beat eggs with 50 ml milk & pour over the bobotie mixture. Decorate with bay leaves (optional). Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 180° for 30 - 40 minutes or until egg has set.
Serve with yellow rice, chutney & salad.
