1. Introduction 

a) These terms and conditions (“Rules”) govern the Royco Coat & Cook Range Social Media Competition (“Competition”).   

b) The Rules set out below apply to all entrants involved in the Competition (“Participants”, “You”).  Participants are encouraged to read these Rules carefully before entering the Competition.   

c) Participation in this Competition will constitute a Participant’s acknowledgement that they understand the Rules and agree to be bound by and comply with these Rules.  If a Participant does not agree with these Rules, please refrain from participating in the Competition.  

d) Any Participant who violates or attempts to violate any of the following Rules will immediately be disqualified from the Competition.   

2. The Competition 

a) The Royco Coat & Cook Range Social Media Competition is conducted by Mars Consumer Products Africa Proprietary Ltd located at Allhart Office Park, 150 Western Services Road, Woodmead, 2191 South Africa (“Promoter”). A third party may assist the Promoter in managing aspects of the Competition to ensure proper administrative oversight (“Organiser”). 

b) The Competition will commence on 23 March 2026 and will end on 27 April 2026 (“Competition Period”).  No entries received after midnight on 27 April 2026 (“Closing Date”) will be considered.  Please note that the duration of the Competition may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Promoter. 

c) In order to be able to enter the Competition and to be eligible to win a Prize, the Participant must older than 18 (eighteen) years of age and must be a resident of the Republic of South Africa. The Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by them or any supplier of goods and services in connection with this Competition and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates are not eligible to participate in or enter this Competition.  The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Participants. 

d) To enter the Competition eligible Participants are required to: 

• access the Competition post on the Royco Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/RoycoSouthAfrica and comment on the Facebook Competition post by telling us how ‘You will use the brand-new Royco Coat & Cook Range to whip up fast, fabulous and tasty family meals’;  

  OR 

• access the Competition post on the Royco Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/royco.sa/ and share ‘Your creative Air Fryer hacks in the comments on the Instagram Competition post.’ 

   

e) THE PROMOTER AND/OR ORGANISER ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY TECHNICAL FAILURE THAT MAY RESULT IN AN ENTRY NOT BEING SUCCESSFULLY SUBMITTED.   

f) No purchase of the Royco Coat & Cook Range is required to participate in the Competition. 

g) A participant who wins the Competition is only eligible to win 1 (one) prize for the duration of the Competition. 

h) All entries must be submitted directly by the individual entering the Competition and only genuine and valid entries will be considered. 

i) A maximum of three (3) entries is permitted per Participant throughout the Competition Period.  Any entries exceeding this limit will be deemed invalid and will not be considered. It is the Participant's responsibility to ensure they adhere to this Rule, as entries beyond the allowed limit will be automatically disqualified. 

j) Entries that do not comply with these Rules, including incomplete or corrupted entries, or entries exceeding the daily or total entry limits, will be deemed invalid. Any individual found to be attempting to circumvent the entry process or manipulate the Competition will be disqualified immediately.   

k) The Promoters will not be liable for any failure, technical or otherwise, resulting in any entry not being successfully submitted for any reason whatsoever. 

3. Winner Selection

a) A single selection process will take place on 28 April 2026 and the winning Participant (“Winner) will be selected by a panel of Royco Brand and agency representatives and any such determination will be final and binding.  The decision of the judging panel shall be final, conclusive, and binding in all respects pertaining to the selection of the Winner. 

b) THE PROMOTER AND/OR THE ORGANISER MAY AT ITS SOLE DISCRETION DECIDE THAT ANY ENTRY IS NOT ELIGIBLE DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE CONTENT OF THE ENTRY AND MAY DISQUALIFY A PERSON FROM THE COMPETITION. 

4. The Prize

a) The Winner stands a chance to win an Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer with ClearCook and the Royco Coat & Cook Product Range to the value of R4,000 (four thousand Rand) (“Prize”). 

b) The Winner will be able to receive their Prize by providing the Promoter and/or Organiser with: 

• their full name, together with official proof of South African residence;
• mobile number; and
• a daytime delivery address, where they will be sent their Prize (South Africa only).  

c) The Prize is strictly non-exchangeable for cash or any other form of monetary compensation. 

d) The Prize is non-transferable and must not be sold, auctioned, or advertised for sale through any medium, including but not limited to online platforms, newspapers, or other public or private channels. No cash alternatives or any substitute Prize will be offered, in whole or in part, except in the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter. In such cases, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with one of equal or greater value.  The Prize will be awarded directly to the verified Winner only. 

e) In the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, or where fraud, abuse, or error (whether human or technical) affects or could affect the proper operation of the Competition or the awarding of the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to suspend, amend, or terminate the Competition at any stage, without incurring any liability. 

f) Should the Promotor be unable to contact the Winner for Prize redemption within 14 (fourteen) working days or if a selected Winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these Rules, or unable to or declines to take up the Prize for any other reason, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the Prize and to select a new winner from all remaining entries. 

g) Participants who, in the Promoter’s and/or Organiser’s sole determination, act unlawfully, fraudulently, in breach of these Rules or otherwise dishonestly may be disqualified from participating in the Competition and shall not be eligible to win the prize.  

h) ANY PRIZE IS ACCEPTED BY A WINNER AT HIS/HER OWN RISK AND THE PROMOTERS AND/OR ORGANISERS ARE NOT LIABLE, AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY DEFECT IN THE PRIZE. 

5. General Information  

a) Any decision made by the Promoter and/or the Organiser in all matters relating to the Competition is final and binding provided that such decisions are compliant with applicable law.  The Promoter and/or the Organiser reserves the right in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law, to amend these Rules at any time. Any amendments will be posted on the website at https://www.royco.co.za/promotions.  

b) The Promoter and/or the Organiser reserves the right to change any detail of the Competition, without prior notice. The onus rests on the Participant to check the Rules.   A copy of these Rules is available online at the Website and any changes to the Rules can likewise be accessed on the Website. 

c) These Rules shall be governed by and interpreted according to the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

e) IN THE EVENT OF A DISPUTE, THE DECISION OF THE PROMOTER AND/OR THE ORGANISER WILL BE FINAL AND BINDING AND NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED INTO. 

f) The Promoter excludes all warranties (express or implied), representations and liabilities regarding the Competition and the Prize. 

g) By entering this Competition, each Participant irrevocably grants the Promoter, Royco South Africa and their affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, global license to use, modify, and showcase their submitted Competition content (including but not limited to images, videos, and text) for promotional purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use in social media posts, and other marketing materials. Each Participant agrees that his/her content may be featured in various media formats and waives any right to compensation or claims related to such usage. 

h) By entering and participating in the Competition, Participants agree that the Promoter and/or the Organiser may collect and process Your personal information for purposes of this Competition, which includes but is not limited to Your full names, telephone number(s) and/or e-mail address.  Such information will not be disclosed to any third party, except for the purpose of the Competition, where applicable, unless agreed otherwise, or unless disclosure is required in terms of applicable law or court order. 

i) THE PARTICIPANT IRREVOCABLY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY THE PROMOTER, THE ORGANISER AND THEIR GROUP COMPANIES OR ANY PERSON ACTING FOR OR ON BEHALF OF THE PROMOTER (INCLUDING, THE ORGANISER), AGAINST ANY LIABILITY, LOSS, CLAIM AND EXPENSE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES, SUFFERED OR INCURRED AS A RESULT OF EITHER A BREACH OF THESE RULES, THE PARTICIPANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION, AND/OR THE UNAUTHORISED USE BY THE PARTICIPANT OF ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OR DATA USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE COMPETITION.
