A sophisticated side dish for festive dinners, or gourmet braais. The fine slices of onion add a sweetness to this savoury classic.
Ingredients
- Royco Sour Cream & Chives Potato Bake
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 400 ml cold milk
- 100g grated cheddar cheese

Method

1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.

2. Mix packet contents with a small amount of the milk & mix to a smooth paste. Slowly stir in the rest of the milk & mix well.

3. Layer sliced potatoes and slices of onion in a greased, ovenproof dish (1.2 litre) and pour sauce evenly over potatoes and onions. Top with grated cheese.

4. Bake uncovered for 45 - 60 min or until potatoes are cooked.

5. Serve as a side at your next braai, or a festive gathering.
